Doc was one of the nicest, sweetest, and kindest guys I ever had the pleasure to know. I will always remember his gentle soul. He will always be in my heart. I was so shocked to hear of his passing. I will miss his friendship. Shine On Doc

Always gentle, always a gentleman, always kind, always helpful and above all, always humorous and concerned more about others. You eased a lot of pain for everyone while you were here with us on earth. You always managed to come through with grace and style. Now, it's your turn to rest peacefully and know how well you will be remembered for being a beautiful example of how to be a great human. Always to be remembered fondly by those who had the pleasure to know you. You will be missed.

Doc, I am in shock (yes I know that rhymed!). Last week I came across your photo from the 70s party that Marcia and I had, where you dressed like Elvis and handed out cheeseburgers and circus peanuts! We spoke for hours this summer and there was no indication you were sick. What happened!?!? I would have gone to your service but I found out you had passed the day of the service (on my way to work). I am so sad. After you see your mom, go have a talk with Chris Connors!

I am so sad Tom has passed away. He was a kind and compassionate person. He genuinely cared about people and loved his family and friends. I will miss talking with him.

Tom, thanks for giving me the chance to be both "your brother's friend" and your friend too. Where did you get those shoes?

We are going to miss you Doc ! You were an incredible neighbor to us and always willing to lend a hand with yardwork, a ride to the auto shop, getting Sophia from Lynnewood in the middle of a snowstorm and lovingly caring for Cocoa whenever we were away!! We were blessed to have you in our lives and the neighborhood won't be the same without you....Love the Carters, Mike, Tammy, Olivia and Sophia
